Financial Assistance Guidelines

The Griffith City Sports Council endeavours to support the efforts of the leading Sportsperson’s of the Griffith City electorate through the support of financial assistance to all sporting representatives who are Griffith citizens, registered local athletes of a Griffith
Associations, Club or School to help them with their expenses.

The executive of the Griffith City Sports Council will determine the level of support to be awarded to
the applicant.

• The following will be considered of the applicant:
• That they are a current member of a Griffith Sporting organisation, registered Club or School.
• They actively participate in other club activities other than playing in a team.
• The level of dedication towards their achievements.
• That they do not take part in any unlawful activities.
• A letter should accompany an application for assistance from their sporting organisation, registered
  club or school.
• Failure to provide an accompanying letter will render the application void.
• Any other financial assistance must be clearly stated on the written application.

The Griffith City Sports Council will consider the level of financial assistance from the table that follows;

• Olympian representative upwards to $ 1000.00 per applicant
• National representative upwards to $ 500.00 per applicant
• State representative upwards to $ 250.00 per applicant

The Griffith City Sports Council would encourage the athletes Sporting organisation, registered Club or School firstly have a policy in place that would cater for these sporting achievements. And they consider supplying dollar for dollar contribution set by the Griffith City Sports council.

The Griffith City Sports Council would require any financially assisted sports person to make themselves available for a media release and that they attend the meeting prior to and after their representation.
